The Head Cook oversees the menu planning, food ordering, kitchen staff and meal preparation for summer camp programs at Wesley Woods Camp and Retreat Center in Dowling, MI. This program involves children, youth and adults and the Head Cook shares in the teamwork of this exciting ministry. The Head Cook position is full time mid-May through mid-August. Part-time hours are also available before May and after August.

Location: Wesley Woods Camp & Retreat Center
Status: Full-Time, Seasonal
Schedule: 8 hour days, Sunday through Saturday morning with appropriate time off.
Pay: Negotiable based on experience.
Benefits: Meals during work hours. Housing for the summer may be included.

Applicants should have experience in meal planning and delivery for 125 persons of all ages including special dietary needs. Up-to-date Safe-Serve certification is a requirement.
The successful candidate…
The ideal candidate has 3-5 years experience in institutional or restaurant food service management, is a good supervisor of people (including young adults and volunteers) and willing to join a loving, faith-based summer camp ministry team.
