The GRACE Way – Summer Camp Theme

Grace Outside uses the “official” United Methodist curriculum that is biblically-based, theologically sound and energizes campers and staff alike on their discipleship journey.

This summer’s GRACE Way theme is based on the “Another Way” curriculum from InsideOut. It includes the stories about the Pharisee and the Tax Collector, Saul and Ananias, John the Baptist, the daughters of Zelophehad and Peter and Cornelius. Campers learn a different way of doing life — a grace-filled way based on the unexpected things Jesus taught, including how to be a friend, how to encourage others and how to love ourselves. Campers gain confidence as a child of God, and grow in a safe community where everyone feels welcome and loved.

All campers are welcome regardless of their religious affiliation if any. Summer Camp learnings also supplement and enrich the faith formation that happens at church and in the home. The stresses of life felt at every age level make it more important than ever to spend time away in Christian community. Campers fully engage with the Bible stories and learnings of our faith through interactive and age-appropriate conversations. They immerse themselves in living as followers of Christ.
